TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is suitable for nuclear emergency/crisis response teams.
COURSE AIM
The aim of this course is to raise the understanding of nuclear energy by practically explaining the main features of a power plant and enable the participants to perform consequence management in case of a nuclear emergency.
COURSE CONTENT
Understand the main Features of Nuclear Power Plants by detailed site tours of the main facilities of the power plant
Awareness of consequences of a nuclear accident
Develop consequence management measures after a nuclear accident in a power plant
Understand causes and effects of Chernobyl and Fukushima through site tours of the power plant
Complete practical consequence management scenarios in a power plant
COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
Delegates will be assessed on their theoretical and practical knowledge about the course content.
PREREQUISITES
Participants should meet the following criteria:
Completion of Basic Nuclear Emergency Response course.
Medically and physically fit.
